Proofreading is the process of reading a text and correcting any mistakes (grammar, syntax, and punctuation) and typos (wrong or missing letters or punctuation marks) found in it. Proofreading affects the form rather than the content and message of the text. As a rule, proofreading is done after a text is translated to or from a foreign language.
Proofreading is performed by native speaker editors.
To assess the quality of the source text, we use an expert evaluation (this is done for free). The cost of proofreading depends on the quality of the source text.
