A glossary is a list of terms specific to a particular subject area. For example, in business this might be
the names of products and services; in gaming — the names of characters, locations, and items; and in app
development — the captions of various interface elements.
Example: I want the company name Nitro to be translated from English to Japanese as Nitro (not “ニトロ”).
In this case, I need to add two languages to the glossary: English and Japanese, and then
add the term Nitro in both languages.
Using glossaries helps avoid the need to leave comments for the translator regarding terminology. A glossary
helps ensure the consistency of translated text across multiple orders and saves you time.
Nitro supports the use of glossaries. You can create one yourself, or ask us to import a glossary that you
already have. To upload your glossary, please send it to us in TBX format to firstname.lastname@example.org or
via online chat.
