Editing and proofreading by native speakers
We offer two types of service to improve written texts:
What is editing
Editing is a creative process that transforms texts, improving the quality of the writing and making it more coherent. Edited texts flow naturally and are easy to read. The service includes (but is not limited to) spelling and grammar verification. Editors correct texts for both style and form.
We also offer rewriting services to paraphrase an existing text or express it in new words.
What is proofreading
In most cases, proofreading is carried out on translated texts.
Proofreading involves checking the text for grammar, syntax and punctuation errors and correcting these (grammar mistakes, incorrect word order, wrong use of commas, etc.). Proofreaders correct texts for form but not quality of expression.
Proofreading is carried out by native speakers of the target language.
To determine the quality of a source text to be proofread, we perform an initial assessment, free of charge. The applicable proofreading rate is determined by the quality of the original text.
"A second pair of eyes"
To guarantee top-quality translations, we offer tandem translation, where one translator translates and a second translator checks the work of the first as the project progresses, ensuring that the correct meaning is maintained in the target language. This verification step adds 50% to the translation rate.
