What you get from our team

Help with Crowdin set-up

Custom integrations, automation, API, CLI, and Crowdin Apps configuration.

A translation team covering 120+ languages

Tested and trusted native-speaking linguists with subject-matter expertise. As native speakers, they are sensitive to cultural and religious nuance, and they'll never perform verbatim translations.

Embedded quality assurance

Linguistic Quality Assurance (LQA) happens directly in the product's interface. Our translation service includes proofreading. Translators get onboarded to your project: they are trained on your specific program and project needs.

A personal project manager

They're focused on getting your work done per your specifications and communicating with you proactively, and are your single point of contact for any issues related to translation and workflows.

MTPE for cost reduction

Machine Translation Post-Editing of raw MT output may reduce localization costs by up to 50%!

A pilot project in our Crowdin account

We can host your files in our account for a while. This is a great option for test projects or smaller one-off projects so you are not faced with handling complicated integrations and automation.

Continuous localization of updates

Localization is done simultaneously with development enabling ongoing and timely product releases.

How it works in detail

When you work with Alconost, you get your own Project Manager who is a single point of contact responsible for your project. The process works like this:

Let us know if you're already on Crowdin and have set up everything on your own. If you haven't and need consultation, let's book a call. We'll help with:

  • Choosing between Crowdin and Crowdin Enterprise.
  • Setting up and configuring all workflows (Translation + Proofreading, MTPE, ChatGPT) and integrations (GitHub, Crowdin apps like Zendesk, Magento, Intercom, WordPress, Moodle, regular or custom formats support, etc.).
  • Planning your project delivery times, languages, and budget.
  • Running a pilot (proof of concept) project without creating a Crowdin account. We'll host your files on our account for a while. This is also great for one-off projects because you won’t have to worry about any integrations with your workflow.
1
You create a project in Crowdin and upload your files for translation. You may also want to set up integrations (GitHub, Zendesk, Magento, Intercom, WordPress, Moodle, regular or custom formats support, etc.) See instructions: Create a project, Upload files, Upload translations, Advanced project set-up.
2
You send a request to your Alconost project manager (in Crowdin, select your project —> Project Settings —> Members —> Invite —> Manager) and grant them a manager role for your project.
3
The project manager reviews your project, asks the necessary questions, and assembles a team of translators and editors.
4
Once the project manager has studied your project, they'll send you a detailed calculation of the time frame and cost of the work.
5

We assign a team of translators who have the right expertise for your project. Before working on the project, the translators will undergo onboarding, where they'll study the brief, go to your website (if you're localizing a website), download your app (if it's an app), or play your game, etc.

Your Alconost project manager builds or uploads a Glossary, a Translation Memory, and a Style Guide (if needed) so the terminology will be consistent throughout the project.

6
When everything has been agreed upon, work on the project begins. The project manager allocates tasks to translators by assigning them via the Crowdin project, brings in editors, monitors deadlines, and provides quality control.
7
If translators have questions, they ask them on the platform itself. The whole project team can see the questions and your answers.
9
Once all the strings have been translated, the project manager brings in editors if the ‘Proofreading' option has been selected for the project.
Непрерывная локализация
10
The completed translations are downloaded manually as files in a single archive or automatically using Crowdin CLI or API.
11
Once you've integrated the localized strings into your product, Alconost testers check how accurately the interface is displayed in each language version. This part is optional and is called Linguistic Quality Assurance or LQA.
12
We accept a variety of payment options, and you can choose the most convenient one for you, including crypto.
13
As you update your product, Alconost stands ready to provide updated translations of your string resources on an ongoing basis. The same team will work on your updates to ensure consistency. Just get in touch!
